Fake Reality

During my second year at university we were given a brief which involved producing a fashion film for a new T-Shirt company which we created.

Our brief required us to create a T-shirt company which sold products aimed at the film hungry consumers. We also designed two T-shirt designs, one commercial and one conceptual, as well as a social media strategy and a fashion film. Our T-shirt's and film were inspired by the the Audrey Hepburn classic 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.

After watching the film we, as a group, realised a reaccuring theme throughout was Holly Golighty's inability to commit to her 'real life' and instead her constant pretence of having a sophisticated, upper class lifestyle in order to fit in with the New York socialites. This then led to us naming our brand 'Fake Reality'.

We then brainstormed and developed ideas which related to this thought and then eventually came up with our film narrative. We chose to use the puppet master to control 'Audreys' actions as it represents the New York social scene controling Holly's lifestyle and life choices.
